Top Biggest Sports Stadiums In The Earth The following is a list of sports stadiums (or stadia) ordered by their seating capacity, that is the maximum number of spectators they can accommodate.

Most of the largest stadiums are used for Association football or American football. However, some high capacity venues are used for baseball, cricket, Gaelic games, rugby union, rugby league, Australian rules football and Canadian football. Many stadiums have a running track around the perimeter of the pitch allowing them to be used for track and field events. All stadiums with a capacity of 40,000 or more are included. A number of Motor Racing venues are larger than these stadiums, and are listed separately, below.

The Strahov Stadium in Prague, which is not regularly used for sporting events, has a capacity of 220,000.
