Rowdy Rathore is directed by Prabhu Deva and stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, the filming started on 10 August 2011. It is the third remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu.The Film is slated for a June 2012 release.
