Santa Coloma de Gramenet, a Spanish town outside Barcelona, is generating solar energy in a bizarre fashion. They have installed hundreds of solar panels above coffins at its cemetery.
Why a cemetery out of all places?
There are very few open and sunny places in this crowded city where 124,000 people are crammed into 4 sq km.
So the cemetery was the ideal place to set up solar panels. A small town has taken steps to tackle climate change, its a great thing and something we all can learn from.
