I am a huge fan of both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire. Having said that, I don't want to see them be a part of any future Spidey films. I feel as though they made their mark, and it's time to move on. Just like in the comics, where Spider-Man changed writers over the course of his history - Sony should consider doing the same.
Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood reported that Sony has a deal in place with both Sam & Tobey for Spider-Man 4 and 5 to be shot back-to-back. Spider-Man 4 is slated for a May 2011 release. She also reports that Sony has also hired a couple of screenwriters to tackle the Venom movie that's been rumored about.
If I'm Sam Raimi - there's only one logical way to win over the fans at this point:

Sergei Kravinov, a.k.a. Kraven the Hunter! He is one of Spider-Man's oldest foes. Not to mention, I can't think of any one person who truly hates Spider-Man more than he does. (Okay, maybe J. Jonah but we're talking about real villains!) The guy makes it his mission in life to prove that even though he has no special powers and is not a mutant by any means but a regular human who is well-trained, he can still beat the "super-human" Spider-man. Ahhh, I can see it now
Kraven the Hunter hunts down and kills Spidey. Meanwhile the Lizard is wreaking havoc on the streets killing lots of innocent people. Mary Jane is worried that her new husband Peter Parker has gone missing, and starts the search for him. (Please recast MJ with Megan Fox! Please recast MJ with Megan Fox!)
So what does Kraven do? Why, he takes Spider-Man's place, but as a more brutal and violent vigilante! The Lizard is still running around which causes Spider-Kraven to make a decision: will he hunt down the Lizard? Why would he do such a thing, when he's obviously not a "super-hero" in any sense of the word? Mary Jane continues the search for Pete. Then we find out, is Peter Parker/Spider-Man really dead? Will the real Spider-Man return to save the day? Only time will tell!
